Now this is a very sad story! It was just a weekend for whackos in Orlando wasn't it? This beautiful woman with a lovely voice and a very promising career is dead! Her brother tackled this nutjob before he could kill others! I wonder why a club full of patrons allowed one man to kill so many that same night yet this poor girl's brother had enough nuts to tackle an armed fool by himself?!!? This is why I'm more upset by this poor woman's death than I am about a club full of cowards who did nothing to save their own lives much less the lives of their 'friends' when a LONE GUNMAN came in there shooting! Sorry, that's how I feel! The deaths were unfortunate, but there were enough people in that club to take that fool down; this poor girl's brother took this LONE GUNMAN down at the risk of his own life by himself and saved other lives in the process. Sad sad sad story!

So far, detectives have not released the motive for the killing. They're checking Loibl's cellphone and computer for clues. A note on the door of Loilb's home in St. Petersburg read "deepest sorrow for loss to the family, friends and fans of the very talented, loving Christina Grimmie, No other comments,"
As the investigation continues, fans are left to grapple with the unthinkable.
“This is a very tragic event,” Orlando Police Department Sgt. Wanda Miglio said. “This should have been something that was fun and exciting, and for something like this to happen is just a tragedy.”
Authorities said security personnel checked the belongings of concertgoers for weapons at the entrance, but metal detectors were not used.
The Plaza Live released a statement about the shooting.
"The board and staff at the Plaza Live venue are deeply saddened by the tragic events of Friday evening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those lost, as well as those that witnessed and aided in the recovery after this senseless act.
"We are closely working with the Orlando Police Department on this active law-enforcement investigation and therefore necessarily defer specific questions to OPD's public information officer.
"All activities and events at the Plaza Live venue have been suspended until further notice. Grief counselors will be provided to the involved staff, and we will be partnering with our concert promoter, AEG, to support the artists and their families as appropriate. We appreciate everyone's understanding and support during this traumatic time," the statement said.
A performance by Kidz Bop at the Plaza Live on Saturday night was canceled. Refunds will be made available to those holding tickets to the event.
