Now I'm rather shocked at this. Susan Sarandon's husband left her because he felt she was too old for him. NOw this is outrageous; this beautiful attractive woman thrown away coz' he felt she was too old. NOw a lot of men are like this, not just Tim Robbins. But it's crazy coz' I've dated many mature women when I was younger, and had a ball with them all.  Several of them I would have married but they didn't want to. Yes I'm sexually free those who know me. But I'm a bit aghast that Tim Robbins would abandon his life partner just because she was getting older. Hell, he was getting older and besides, he looks like a goofball! If he didn't have money, no woman would look at him twice! I would date Susan Sarandon now if she was interested and many other women whom I personally find attractive. The Truth Is Revealed: Susan Sarandon Divorced For Being Too Old!

(ET, Thursday, September 22, 2016) - Susan Sarandon's heart was broken in 2009 when her husband of 23 years Tim Robins left her. In the years that followed their divorce, Tim blatantly paraded a string of much younger girlfriends around in public, adding salt to Susan's wounds. But the vibrant actress chose to turn her tragedy into a success story and women all over the world and benefitting from it.

The star opened up in a recent interview about her painful split from Tim, admitting her aging appearance pushed him away.

"It started with small jibes about my appearance. He pointed out how I was looking old and he said I always looked tired. I brushed it off at first but then they became crueller and more frequent in nature," Susan Sarandon explains.

But the actress never thought her loving partner would eventually leave her due to her appearance.

"We'd been together for 23 years. I thought we were rock solid. There was no part of me that thought he would leave me over something as superficial as my appearance - when it happened I was completely blindsided."

Susan says her aging appearance drove ex husband Tim Robins away after 23 years of marriage.

As soon as the divorce was finalised, Tim was seen out and about with numerous younger women, driving home the point that Susan had become too old for him.

It was a dark period for the successful entertainer, who became a recluse and hid herself away from the world for a few years.

"I was so self conscious, I barely left my house. I turned down jobs. I refused to audition anymore. Every time I spoke to someone I could feel their eyes burning into my skin, it felt like everyone was staring at my wrinkles. I became paranoid about it and the worst part was my self worth plummeted dramatically," Susan revealed.

Susan spent her days researching anti-aging methods, determined to find a solution.

"I knew I couldn't live like this anymore. I couldn't spend the rest of my life feeling ashamed of the way I looked and hiding myself away from the world. Sadly, I even considered plastic surgery. I booked an appointment but my nerves took over and I backed out."
