The wife of former Eagles member Randy Meisner was shot and killed Sunday at the couple's home.
Lana Rae Meisner was shot dead in the couple's Studio City home. The police are now conducting a death investigation.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, an hour and a half before Randy called to report his wife had been shot, Lana Rae called 911 to report domestic violence at the house. She claims he was waiving a BB gun and "acting erratically."
The second call came in at 6:59 PM ... Randy told cops his wife went into another room, closed the door and he heard a gun shot. He says he went into the room and discovered she was shot in the head.
We're told at 4:45 AM Monday Randy was taken to the hospital after "acting in an altered state."
The couple has had many conflicts in the past. Randy's kids tried to get a conservatorship based on his alleged mental instability. At some point he was in an Encino hospital where he threatened to kill everyone there with an AK-47.

Randy Travis Lost Use of his voice

Now I'm not a big country fan, but I do like Randy Travis. His down home country style injected some much needed soul into country music and I enjoyed listening to him. It's not hard  to see though that he's a heavy drinker (probably why he had a stroke) and he needs to quit so he can continue to entertain. We're hoping he has a full recovery and gets back to touring for his country music I like hearing.

Country legend Randy Travis is left 'unable to sing or even speak' following devastating stroke a year ago

He's entertained generations of country music lovers with his iconic songs such as Three Wooden Crosses and Diggin' Up Bones.
But on Saturday it was reported Randy Travis has been left unable to sing or even speak after the stroke he suffered last year at the age of 54.
According to TMZ, the damage to the music legend's brain has been so severe that the Forever And Ever, Amen singer has completely lost the use of his famous voice.

A source told the website that 'the singer can't form a sentence and it's unclear if he is even lucid enough to follow a conversation.'
Earlier this month Randy, now 55, attended a Dolly Parton concert in Thackerville, Oklahoma and was pictured backstage with the star who posted the photograph on her Facebook page.
Halfway through her sell-out performance she paid tribute to the stricken star.

'There are some people you just love and admire for their talents. Tonight, one of those people are here,' she said.
'Randy Travis, wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying the show.'
Randy has stayed out of the limelight since the stroke last July which was brought on by viral heart failure.

He has been working hard on his recovery and is now able to work with the aid of a cane.
His rep told TMZ that his therapist said it wouldn't be out of the question for him to return to the stage - but not for at least three years.
Meanwhile the singer's father, Harold Traywick, told Closer magazine in February that his son was making some progress.
'He’s getting his voice back now, little by little,' he said.

1. Aretha Franklin- Natural Woman- now I heard this Carol King song many years ago and I liked it. I thought she did a good job. But when Aretha recorded this song, I was floored. It brought tears to my eyes! It reminded me of my mother who struggled to raise a houseful of kids all by herself as my father showed himself to be the worthless jerk-off he really is! But this strong woman of God persevered and did her very best with no help from nobody but the Lord! I mean I just had to sit alone in a corner and cry for Aretha didn't just touch my heart; she touched my soul! The lyrics of this song celebrates a man, but the spirit of this song celebrates God!

Tionne Watkins and Rozanda Thomas disappoint Lisa Lopes' family when they hire Japanese singer Namie Amuro to fill in for the late group member for a remake version of the 1995 hit.
Nearly two decades after releasing "Waterfalls", TLC released a new version of the song with Japanese singer Namie Amuro replacing the group's deceased member, Lisa Lopes a.k.a. Left Eye. In the remake, which is dedicated to TLC's fans in Japan, Amuro appears alongside Tionne Watkins and Rozanda Thomas to rap Lopes' iconic verse.

However, not everyone's happy with the replacement. The most disappointed one is Lopes' family. The late singer's sister, Reigndrop Lopes, told TMZ that she and the rest of her family were not pleased with the change.

"I did not know about it until a fan posted it online," she told the site. "I mean it would have been nice if they would have given us a heads up before being surprised." She also said her mother was "hurt" and wanted to see her late daughter's memory honored by keeping Lopes on the track.

"Waterfall" is one of TLC's biggest hits. The single topped Billboard chart for seven weeks and was nominated for two Grammys at the 1996 Grammy Awards.

It isn't the first collaboration between TLC and Amuro. Watkins and Thomas recently made cameo appearances in a music video for Amuro's "Hands on Me".
