Now having lived in Ohio at one point in my life I was excited to see one of my favorite basketball players in the world bring home the nba title to his hometown in cleveland, Lebraun James. Not being a fan of the cavaliers I was nonetheless a fan of James and watched the series with anticipation. I was glad when they finally did win it and I could see in the aftermath he was too. But I was very disappointed also in the after all of this that James didn't once give thanks to God for favoring him in this contest. He hasn't mentioned God once in any of the celebrations that have been thrown in his honor. This is not the way of our people who generally always give thanks to the Lord for any important milestone in their lives. Doesn't he know it was God's Grace that favored him in this contest for the nba isn't made up of novice's who can't play the game. He emerged as the best of the best in this country by the sheer power of the Lord, and should give our Lord His Glory, for were it not for God's Grace, lebraun would be like so many other wannabe's, dreaming about a shot at the nba! He managed to traverse all of the disadvantages life had for him to emerge a top flight athlete by God's Grace alone and he should give to the Lord His Glory rather than basking in it himself. Nevermind glory, there's nothing we can do with it; we need God's blessings, give Him the Glory!
